Biographical data about this Swiss missionary who served at Red Wing (Minn.) during 1843-1845, acquired by historian Robert M. Black in doing a dissertation on Gavin. It consists of a 3-page letter, in French, from the Archives Cantonales Vaudoises, Switzerland (July 7, 1987), an attached page from an unidentified printed source, and a synopsis of the letter by MHS staff member Scott Jessee (1988).
